Welcome to IB at Grenaa Gymnasium

In 2003 Grenaa Gymnasium was authorized as an IB World School, which allows the school to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

International Ambitions 

The IB Diploma Programme is particularly interesting for students with international ambitions and/or an international background. Many students who think of staying in Denmark for further education will also benefit from and enjoy the programme, which has high standards for learning inside and outside of classroom.

High Academic Standard and Lots of Friends

In the IB-Diploma you must be willing to work hard at an academic and personal level. In return the program is very rewarding, with dedicated teachers and many new friends with very diverse backgrounds. You will get a chance to broaden your horizon and in return we expect openness and tolerance on your part.

Grenaa Gymnasium has about 600 students, of which 90 are in Pre-IB and IB. Grenaa Gymnasium is well-known for its international and social environment and we will do our best to make you feel at home, both at school and at the boarding school. The boarding school is an ideal place to live for IB students, who don't have their parents living nearby.
